About Inked Atlas

Most custom map prints look the same: thin black lines, a city name, coordinates. We wanted maps that feel like art: the colored blocks of a hand-inked neighborhood print, the soft edges of watercolor, the gravity of an old engraved atlas, and new looks as we draw them.

So we built software that draws them. Type an address and it reads the real streets, parks, rivers and buildings around it from open map data, then illustrates them block by block in the style you choose. It lays out every street name so none overlap, and marks your spot.

We're based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Every order is made to order in the US and shipped straight to you: prints, frames and canvas by our fine art print partner, and woven throws on a jacquard loom by Pure Country in Lynn, North Carolina, about two hours from us.
